FAQ

WHAT KIND OF MUSIC DO YOU PERFORM?

The Stonewall Chorale is committed to singing the great classical repertoire, but we also sing an eclectic array of music from all periods and styles.

WHEN DO YOU REHEARSE?

The Chorale rehearses on Tues. evenings in the Village from 7:00 to 9:30 p.m.

The Chorale typically holds one or two intensive rehearsals (which are usually 3.5 hours on a Sunday afternoon) are included in each concert prep period, as is a dress rehearsal before each performance. You will be notified well in advance of these sessions, and will be able to access the season schedule via your Chorus Connection calendar.

HOW OFTEN DO YOU PERFORM?

The Chorale usually performs three concerts a year, and smaller engagements from time to time.

HOW MUCH ARE CHORALE DUES?

The Chorale supports itself by member dues. The dues are $200 for the entire season (September – June) or $75 per concert period, or $25 a month, whichever works best for you. If paid in full at the start of the season you save $25!

Each Chorale member is required to sell 4 tickets per concert.

WHAT ELSE DO I NEED TO PURCHASE AS A MEMBER?

Great news! You are not required to purchase a uniform or music — the concert attire is generally all black for formal concerts, and bright shirts with black pants for more casual appearances/pride events. PDF's of the music are supplied to you by the Chorale, and you may either read from a tablet device or print out for use in a (black, 3-ring) binder.

Note: The Stonewall Chorale welcomes members of and allies to the LGBTQ community and does not base membership on sexual orientation, gender, gender identity, or gender expression.
